HI! I'M CASSIA
Of course, you know the world is in a state of emergency right now because of COVID-19, and I started to wonder what I would do if I were quarantined for a long time (extrovert problems). I also continued to see and hear how this virus has negatively affected so many already, and I thought of a quote that I love. I first heard it on Disney's "Saving Mr. Banks," and it was a quote from Walt Disney (played by Tom Hanks), which said: "That's what we storytellers do. We restore order with imagination. We instill hope again and again and again."
And thus, my idea was birthed. I knew I had to do something to bring hope back into our hurting world (enneagram two problems), and I knew I had to do it in the only way I really know how - STORIES. I, however, did not want all of the stories to come from me. That would probably get boring fast. I wanted to pull other talented storytellers in so that there is a wide variety of stories to be shared.
My vision for the "For Such A Time As This Project" is simple. Stories published daily for our world. To give you something to do while you are quarantined. To give you something to laugh at. To give you something to look forward to. To give you something to hold onto. To give you something to escape from your reality. To give you hope. Myself and my team are going to try our absolute hardest to bring that to you.
